The Company

Located in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Ecolait was established in October 1979. Specialized in the production of milk-fed veal calves for quite some time in Europe, the company decided to export its knowledge to Quebec.

Within 20 years, and thanks to the expertise, seriousness and efficiency of its team, Ecolait became a leader in Quebec. The company is also certified HACCP, HALAL and KOSHER.

Thirty years have gone by since the birth of the first milk-fed calf in Quebec. The technical team, the administrative members as well as the producers embody the strength of the company. More than 150 producers dedicated themselves to this field, and some of them are present since the very beginning. They work in close partnership with the Ecolait team, and together, they produce over 100,000 calves each year, which equals to 12 000 tons of meat.

Ecolait maintains the highest quality standards of milk-fed veal calves, from the farm to the table.
